June 28th, 2009

After our night spent in the hostel, many in our group got familiar with a new sound, the sound of the L  (Elevated Train) as it roared outside our window all night.  Despite that, we had an early breakfast and met many people from all over the world who were also staying in the hostel.

We then went to Trinity UCC Church and had a fantastic worship experience with great music and a sermon by Rev Otis Moss III which was great for all but especially our youth.

We they had a brief tour of Chicago driving up Lakeshore Blvd with landmarks such as Solder Field and Lake Michigan in our view.  It was a fantastic day weather wise as well.

We had lunch at Gina’s East and experienced Chicago style pizzza.  We then went onto the Church of the Bretheren where we will be staying for the rest of the week.  We have our work assignments for the week and our excited about some of the experiences we will share with you.  Stay tuned.
